Welcome to Infinite Passion's very own RPG: the Infinite Passion! The RPG is open to anyone who is a member of the forum and can be started or ended whenever you like (except if it's undergoing maintenance or what not).

Our History
We don't really have much of a history yet, since it's still a new RPG. But the original is from 2004, when The Lands of Shiyara were created by Robert Brame and Tamer Nassar. It didn't last long, and soon ended up in the trash.
But about a year or two later, Robert decided to revive their RPG, and so The Chronicles of Shiyara was born. Once again, this didn't last, as Tamer was nowhere to be found.
Through the years, Robert has been collecting ideas and working on RPG's, trying to perfection them and eventually return once again. Several more Shiyara's were born, and none of them even opened the RPG.
And now, the time has come to finish what was started all those years ago. Being the RPG of this community, Shiyara will live on, providing its originality to the members of this forum. Hopefully, it will turn into the success Robert and Tamer once hoped it would become.

The Story
The RPG will follow a storyline, furthering as the members continue to unravel its mysteries. As most stories, we shall begin by the beginning, when the Oracles didn't meddle in their affairs as long as the world was kept balanced. As the ages continue, NPC's will be lost, and new allies will be gained. But this can of course be changed due to the members actions. Depending which alignment you follow, you can help keep the peace and balance, or you can drive the world into darkness and keep chaos reigning.

The Basics to the RPG
The basics of the RPG should be known to all players, so people can at least play. First, you should read the RPG Rules, which can be viewed here. And read all the way to the end! Once that's done, you should start thinking about what kind of character you would like to make. Do you want to fight against those who serve the light as a mighty Orcish warrior, or would you like to slaughter the dark beings as an Elven mage? Or you might even not care, and would love to battle both good and evil. Both race and class are very important for your character, and they determine their strength and skills. Choose wisely.
Once that's all done, you should (MUST) post your Character Profile so other players can see who they're dealing with. Once that's all done, you can get to battling. Battle other players for experience and money to grow stronger in the RPG, and go on quests to possibly find rare items! No matter what, there'll always be something to do in the RPG, and the main goal is to reach level 100. But of course, this task isn't to be taken lightly; a good 600 battles is needed to reach this level!

Choosing your Path
What you should do first, is of course read about what sort of character you can create, by reading this, which contains the information you need to decide what your character will be. Once you've checked out the different races and classes, fill out the form provided, and all you need to do is to have some patience and wait. A Creator will eventually come along and approve your creation, and then your information will be PMed to you. After that, post your character profile (with the things provided to you), and fancy them up to your likings. And then it's time for your story to begin.

Aquatic beings that live under the water's surface. Slow on land, but they have made their peace with that. They are possibly the most skilled in magic, making them worthy opponents in spite of their slow speed. Also very advanced in technology.
Racial abilities:

Centaurs are a proud race who take pride in their knowledge over everything that is. Half-man, half-horse, they are fast and powerful, and are an unusual race on its own.
Racial abilities:

They were once High Elves, but were grasped by a deadly disease and received an unexplainable hunger for blood. Eventually a cure was found, and the disease was driven back. The Dark Elves hadn't returned to their normal state however. They are stronger than their High Elf counterpart, but not as large in numbers.
Racial abilities:

Droni are shades. If you choose this race, you can choose from the standard fire, ice and mist Droni, but the dark and light have to be unlocked. To unlock the light Droni, you must train a paladin to level 15 and complete the quest that rewards the Pure Soul skill. For the dark Droni, the same must be done with a warlock, but you must learn the Shadow Soul skill instead.
All Droni have skills adapted to their respective types.
Racial abilities:

A mighty race, usually living in the mountains, out of reach of danger. Dwarves are strong, stout, hairy and love to drink.
Racial abilities:

A highly intelligent race, and also probably the best known. The High Elves keep to themselves, thinking they're better than the rest due to their immortal lives and their ancient and noble history.
Racial abilities:

Humans, a noble race who have been around since the beginning of time. A highly advanced race, and extremely versatile. Becoming a human is a good way to go for any beginner.
Racial abilities:

A race of lizard like creatures. They are very agile and tough, yet their technology isn't as advanced as other races.
Racial abilities:

Another new race, consisting of fox beings this time. Also agile and quick, they roam the wilderness, fighting for their very existence. Low technical skills, but strong military power.
Racial abilities:

Yet another powerful and noble race. Orcs may be seen as savage beasts, but they are very intelligent, advancing in all forms of combat and technology.
Racial abilities:

Bird like beings that rule the skies. Yes, another fast race, and extremely dangerous. Their talons are their deadliest weapon.
Racial abilities:

A being that can transform into anything it wishes. The only problem with training a Shapeshifter is that to make the most of its unique skill, your attributes have to be divided carefully. Which is why Shapeshifters receive 25% more attribute points on level up.
To unlock this race, train one of each class to level 25.
Racial abilities:

This race is an unlockable. To receive access to this race, you must first train a Necromancer to level 10 to learn the Raise Dead skill, and then successfully animate a corpse. This will be difficult without the auto-raise spell, unless you have a battle with 2 or more opponents.
Racial abilities:

They take on the aspects of animals, granting them access to that beast's powers. They extract a part of the soul and link it to their own. However, the more sould stored means the unstabler your own soul will be. Eventually souls will start to mix up when called, or they will fail to respond at all.

Mages tap energies from the Great Arcane Void: a place of pure, magical energy. Divided up into four sub-classes, each one has a different specialization.
Black mages use the more agressive part of the void, granting them the most powerful offensive spells of all sorts.
White mages go for the lighter part, giving them healing powers.
Red mages can tap from the agressive and lighter part, and hone both their powers as his/her own. This does lower the ammount of power the red mage can place behind a spell.
Blue mages tap into the strongest part of the void, granting them the ability to steal their opponent's abilities to use them for their own purpose - whenever they want.

Your undead ally won't stay around for ever though. After five turns in battle, it will crumble.
After your opponent has fallen, you may not bring him/her back from the dead, unless you used the auto-raise beforehand, which is earned at higher levels.

Warlock's can be compared to the priests who have turned to the shadows. The differences being that warlocks aren't able to heal, and they have a direct link to the demon world, whereas shadow priests do not. If you've been wondering how many battles are needed to go up a level, then wonder no more! Below is the table going up until Level 100 (I don't think many people will make it), and it will show the total amount of battles needed for a certain level. It doesn't matter if they're wins, losses or draws.

Indeed, 600 battles are needed to reach level 100. See why I said I might not be able to see it happen? But remember, all those battles won't be a waste, no matter how you spend the money and stat points. If someone is getting close to the current maximum level, then I shall raise the max up a bit, by 25-50 levels or so. Good luck, and any questions: PM a staff member or myself, or drop us a line in RPG General Help/Chat.
